Though ot was a great shot Cassino's keeper Faustão Pombal was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. A hard shot 6 in the game by Murilo Paranaense from a close distance when the talented Faustão Pombal managed to make a qualified save. Cassino's players were relieved. Murilo Paranaense struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Faustão Pombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almenara SS. When Yan Novaes fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cassino's protests and gave Yan Novaes a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Cassino:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Almenara SS:s goal. If Walmyr Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel da Cunha took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Faustão Pombal. Faustão Pombal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Falcão Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Sampaio in the 23rd minute of play. Yan Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Faustão Pombal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel da Cunha in the 28th minute. 29 minutes in the game, Murilo Paranaense dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renan Rossi in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falcão Coutinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Walmyr Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Faustão Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustão Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the game, Geovani Koehler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cassino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Almenara SS the free kick. Faustão Pombal was a little too slow when Murilo Paranaense got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 48th minute, Murilo Paranaense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almenara SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nilmar Sampaio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cassino getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Renan Rossi hit a great ball. Cassino's Faustão Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr Massa in the 54th minute of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Murilo Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almenara SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murilo Paranaense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faustão Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Paranaense in the 58th minute of play. Murilo Paranaense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Faustão Pombal having to make a save. If Aírton Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Murilo Paranaense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almenara SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Murilo Paranaense put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Faustão Pombal. 72 minutes into the game, Murilo Paranaense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Faustão Pombal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute, Murilo Paranaense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almenara SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Murilo Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almenara SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Murilo Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faustão Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Murilo Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Pombal having to interfere. Almenara SS made a substitution. Carlos Eduardo Magalhães replaced Emanuel da Cunha. In the 86th minute, Renan Rossi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murilo Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Faustão Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Almenara SS's Cristian Marques got a free kick in the 94th minute. Aírton Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When Almenara SS's Carlos Eduardo Magalhães in the 99th minute got a chance for a shot 99th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cassino's goalie prevented a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Almenara SS fully deserved thier win.
