The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Salvador Dimo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonas Negri having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Dimo in the 8th minute of play forced Marcelino's goalkeeper Jonas Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Paiva hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, João Adolfo Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fiori Cosme who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Jonas Negri when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fiori Cosme's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Jonas Negri skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. João Adolfo Teles might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulão Paiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Adolfo Teles ran back to his position shaking his head. João Adolfo Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulão Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Adolfo Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Marcelino's zone, Salvador Dimo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Negri came out of the goal and Salvador Dimo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Juan Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Matorin charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manuel Matorin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

A collision led to DoSKine FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Fiori Cosme hit a great ball. Paulinho Bittencourt charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulinho Bittencourt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. João Adolfo Teles struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Paulão Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marcelino. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, João Adolfo Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marcelino's supporters rose to their feet, but João Adolfo Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulão Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, DoSKine FC's Paulão Paiva got control of the ball when João Adolfo Teles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ademir Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulão Paiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Adolfo Teles went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Salvador Dimo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Negri having to interfere. Paulão Paiva was a little too slow when Giovani Branco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 2-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serginho Matorin during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marcelino's Serginho Matorin got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 97th minute, DoSKine FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after João Adolfo Teles fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
