Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ediberto Donato came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Insua SC's Ramón Travassos. But to his dismay, Ramón Travassos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Beto da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ediberto Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beto da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, Vasco F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Travassos came free, but Ediberto Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haroldo Amorim struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Arí Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vasco F.C. If Cipriano Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beto da Costa in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ediberto Donato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vasco F.C's Ediberto Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Travassos in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Insua SC's goalkeeper Arí Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cipriano Nogueira. Ediberto Donato didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramón Travassos went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ediberto Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Travassos in the 27th minute of play. Tibúrcio Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Insua SC's Jerônimo Pombal got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 38 minutes into the match, Vasco F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Beto da Costa came free, but Ediberto Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Insua SC's Beto da Costa in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vasco F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Beto da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Donato having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Nogueira to make the kick off. Vasco F.C's Ediberto Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Travassos in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd match minute, Insua SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nildo Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Travassos in the 59th minute of play forced Vasco F.C's goalkeeper Ediberto Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ediberto Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beto da Costa in the 61st minute. Beto da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ediberto Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Insua SC's Nildo Nogueira got a free kick in the 64th minute. Arí Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Ediberto Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beto da Costa in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, Vasco F.C's goalkeeper Ediberto Donato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beto da Costa. In the 74th minute, Ramón Travassos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Vasco F.C getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Matheus Albuquerque hit a great ball. Cipriano Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Vasco F.C's Matheus Albuquerque got a free kick in the 85th minute. Beto da Costas short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Ediberto Donato to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Insua SC's Ramón Travassos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ediberto Donato. That made the score 0-4 after 89 minutes of play. Insua SC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
