Spectators: 6676 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vito Pontes got the match started through his kick off. 13 minutes into the match, Botafogo SR's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Pontes came free, but Lucas Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Pedrinho Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 14 minutes, Cléber Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo SR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléber Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Pontes in the 23rd minute of play. Mário Xavier came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lucas Gomes could save by the left post. 26 minutes into the game, Vito Pontes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lucas Gomes. Vito Pontes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Lucas Gomes was a little too slow when Vito Pontes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 3-0. Mário Xavier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Lucas Gomes made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cléber Melo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Vito Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Gomes was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. 73 minutes into the match, Dino Maia notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Areal's Válbson Zonta. Válbson Zonta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Válbson Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber Melo in the 77th minute of play. Válbson Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelson Eger took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Válbson Zonta. Areal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leopoldo de Toledo's late challenge caught a Botafogo SR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo de Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Areal getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Leopoldo de Toledo hit a great ball. Vito Pontes took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas Gomes. Lucas Gomes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Lucas Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Xavier in the 96th minute of the match.
