The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cléber Melo was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Botafogo SR's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Reis came free, but Lucas Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Reis in the 75th minute of the match. If Augusto Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Jucal's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Furtado came free, but Chicão Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fernando Mesquita in the 84th minute of play forced Botafogo SR's goalkeeper Lucas Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Gomes having to interfere.
