If Mathias de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vargen SS's Wágner Pirani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Vargen SS from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the match, Vargen SS's goal looked a bit too open when Matías Senna came free, but Wágner Pirani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Guilherme Xavier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wágner Pirani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Manso got a freekick which was hit by Donatello Leite. With a little luck, Vargen SS's Wágner Pirani got control of the ball when Luís Guilherme Xavier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vargen SS's Wágner Pirani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Vargen SS from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Guilherme Xavier got free with Wágner Pirani in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 39 minutes, Pedro Paulo Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Paulo Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matías Senna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wágner Pirani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Vargen SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luís Guilherme Xavier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vargen SS's goalkeeper Wágner Pirani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Vargen SS's Wágner Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Xavier in the 60th minute of play. Vargen SS's Wágner Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paulo Quirino in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Dagoberto Paes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Wágner Pirani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Matías Senna came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Manso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matías Senna couldn't finish the play. Luís Guilherme Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Vargen SS's zone, Luís Guilherme Xavier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wágner Pirani came out of the goal and Luís Guilherme Xavier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matías Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Wágner Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wágner Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Matías Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
