After taking down the ball on Volta EC's corner Tales Valadares fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mateus Campidelis quite easily take care of the ball. Zé Augusto Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Melo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Volta EC's Alexandre Guerra got a free kick in the 17th minute. Volta EC's Gilvan Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Augusto Messias in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match Alexandre Guerra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mateus Campidelis skillfully saved the ball. When Zé Augusto Messias came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. Mateus Campidelis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frédson Cunha went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute Natanael Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateus Campidelis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natanael Fernandez in the 44th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Natanael Fernandez got free with Mateus Campidelis in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséas Carioca helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Volta EC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Oséas Carioca hit a great ball. Volta EC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
