Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Romário Moreira started the match with the kick off. Victor Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Castro having to interfere. The supporters of LobatenseEC booed when Moiboada EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedê Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Narciso da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrézinho Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso da Mata charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Narciso da Mata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Moiboada EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso da Mata to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Inácio Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Moiboada EC's Álvaro Arruda threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Romário Moreira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Moiboada EC's Charles Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrézinho Monteiro in the 27th minute of play. Gustavo Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Charles Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Andrézinho Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Charles Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Valladares in the 37th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Gustavo Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Andrézinho Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the LobatenseEC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrézinho Monteiro couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Valladares to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Andrézinho Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LobatenseEC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrézinho Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moiboada EC's goalkeeper Charles Castro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Moiboada EC's Narciso da Mata got his second yellow card of the match in the 58th minute. The referee ordered Narciso da Mata off the ground. Narciso da Mata hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Andrézinho Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Charles Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in LobatenseEC's zone, Fernando Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Arruda came out of the goal and Fernando Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Armindo Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Cardozo in the 90th minute of play. Andrézinho Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luizinho Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Castro having to interfere.
