Cesinha Vianna's late challenge caught a gaviosês de fiel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesinha Vianna helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in LobatenseEC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! Álvaro Arruda had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Egídio Hermes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball After a long run with the ball, Egídio Hermes did a trick in the 11th minute in front of LobatenseEC's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. Cristóvão Goiano hit a great ball. In the 30th match minute, LobatenseEC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizinho Prado to maneuver through the defense. Álvaro Arruda came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by gaviosês de fiel's Rômulo Luz. But to his dismay, Rômulo Luz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. André Luís Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrézinho Monteiro in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Luizinho Prado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LobatenseEC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After having played for 40 minutes, Inácio Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LobatenseEC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Cardozo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. André Luís Arce came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by LobatenseEC's Inácio Cardozo. But to his dismay, Inácio Cardozo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Valladares made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho Monteiro in the 55th minute of play forced gaviosês de fiel's goalkeeper André Luís Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrézinho Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gustavo Valladares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but André Luís Arce made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Rômulo Luz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The gaviosês de fiel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. In the 98th minute, Mazinho Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The LobatenseEC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing LobatenseEC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
