In the 26th minute Leandro Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emerson Trigo made a kick off. Oséias Urbano struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Rui Diniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos Crocodilow. Leandro Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Gustavo de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Sarapui booed when Santos Crocodilow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Ostots didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Sarapui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui Diniz should have stopped the shot. Rui Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vágner Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sarapui's Luís Fernando Trigo got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
