Ibiuna's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Zé Augusto Pernambucano scored to the left of an out of position Baltazar Quaresma, making the score, 1-0. Danilo Toscano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donatello Coutinho went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 47 played minutes Ibiuna got a freekick which was hit by Léo de Godoy. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdo Baptista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. João Paulo Corrêa charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Sebastião Paraibano got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 76 played minutes Variante got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Paraibano.
