Itacava's Fernandão Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Mesquita in the 4th minute of play. Campelina SC's Claudinei Mesquita got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilson Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th match minute, Campelina SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. Evandro Souto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Fernandão Vander made a huge save. The supporters of Campelina SC booed when Itacava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Mesquita struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Fernandão Vander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campelina SC. Evandro Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cauã Donato in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisinho de Salles saved Campelina SC from getting behind. After 30 played minutes Campelina SC got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Maia. Cauã Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Luisinho de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Campelina SC booed when Itacava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evandro Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cauã Donato came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Itacava fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauã Donato couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Campelina SC's zone, Olívio de Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisinho de Salles came out of the goal and Olívio de Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cauã Donato to strike the kick off in the second half. Evandro Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 52 minutes into the match, Itacava's goal looked a bit too open when Evandro Souto came free, but Fernandão Vander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernandão Vander showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 71 minutes of play, Campelina SC's Claudinei Mesquita made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernandão Vander was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Itacava's Cauã Donato in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Campelina SC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Campelina SC's Nando Fonseca got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Cauã Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Campelina SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
