The Beneficente fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Beneficente's Laércio Fernandez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Iuri Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Goren Olmedo took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for José Augusto Tande to make any attempt to save it. Juninho Silveira's late challenge caught a Pequery FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juninho Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Juninho Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Gláuber Mineiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oscar Peixoto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 25 played minutes Pequery FC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Secco. After 27 minutes, Anísio Simão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pequery FC and the Beneficente players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Anísio Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beneficente's Emerson Sheikh broke free in the 28th minute of the match and struck a powerful long shot that almost became a goal, but instead the ball went outside the right post. An obvious chance of a goal. Iuri Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Oscar Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Augusto Tande made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laércio Fernandez in the 32nd minute. Beneficente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Beneficente booed when Pequery FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Emerson Sheikh notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Pequery FC's José Augusto Tande. José Augusto Tande was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iuri Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oscar Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Ramos in the 82nd minute of the match. When Iuri Massa came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Pequery FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iuri Massa couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Beneficente's Oscar Peixoto got control of the ball when Iuri Massa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Beneficente's zone, Iuri Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Peixoto came out of the goal and Iuri Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Mineiro in the 96th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
