Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Magno Diniz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Sérgio de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Gerber having to interfere. Paulo Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Mendonça in the 10th minute of play. Eduardo Galvão came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Loucas FC's Chicão Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Chicão Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 16 played minutes Loucas FC got a freekick which was hit by Magno Diniz. 23 minutes into the match, Loucas FC's Duarte Andrade broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Eduardo Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Diniz in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Ribeiro in the 25th minute of play forced Matta's goalkeeper Eduardo Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sérgio de Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Matta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio de Toledo couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Loucas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! 2-1 became the score in the 37th minute when Caco Mendonça elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caco Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. If Caco Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute, Caco Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In a very dangerous position, a player in Loucas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Duarte Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Sérgio de Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Matta's Eduardo Galvão got control of the ball when Chicão Ribeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Fernando Cerezo during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Matta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Duarte Andrade from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got Eduardo Galvão's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Chicão Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Loucas FC's Vivaldo de Godoy got a free kick in the 87th minute. Eduardo Galvão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magno Diniz's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. If Magno Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matta's Eduardo Galvão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Matta from getting a goal against them. Eduardo Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Chicão Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Galvão having to interfere. Matta were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Loucas FC for a fine match.
