Chicão do Valle came out of the goal and Matias Montae tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the match, Colorado F.C's Ramon Matei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chicão do Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Lenílson Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Trussu getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Renato Damião hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Montae in the 20th minute of play forced Trussu's goalkeeper Chicão do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ramon Matei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Trussu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Colorado F.C:s goal. Rafael Brito shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Matias Montae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dário Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Umberto Soeiro's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Montae stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dário Rocha made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Lenílson Pitta sent off a good shot on target. When Colorado F.C's Matias Montae in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trussu's goalie prevented a goal. Trussu's Umberto Soeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chicão do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Montae, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. A collision led to Trussu getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Manfredo Oliveira hit a great ball. Renato Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Ramon Matei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dário Rocha was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from João Paulo Xavier. Ramon Matei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Matias Montae left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colorado F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 85th minute Matias Montae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manfredo Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manfredo Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th match minute, Trussu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute Matias Montae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manfredo Oliveira was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 96th match minute, Trussu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Oliveira to maneuver through the defense.
