After 7 minutes, Allan Tinoco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marape EC and the Olinto players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Marape EC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Allan Tinoco hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, one of Marape EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Marape EC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Valle in the 14th minute of play forced Olinto's goalkeeper Marcos Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes of play Marape EC's Allan Tinoco was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Marape EC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Clemente Prata hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Patrick Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gugu Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes, Arlindo Meirelles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marape EC and the Olinto players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arlindo Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Patrick Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Marco Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arlindo Meirelles got his second yellow card in the match during the 40th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Arlindo Meirelles hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gugu Domingues made the kick off in the second half. Patrick Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Marcos Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Patrick Simões put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marcos Costa. Fiori Valle scored 2-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gugu Domingues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kléberson Faria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Manfredo Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Faria having to interfere. In the 90th minute Gugu Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
