Baltazar Bezerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso de Queirós's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. If Luiz Fabiano Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Linhares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Delfim Secco, 1-0. Delfim Secco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Afonso de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Baltazar Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Faria during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Poá Virtual Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Faria to maneuver through the defense. Afonso de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. In the 47th minute Luiz Fabiano Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Afonso de Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Baltazar Bezerra managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Emboscada SC's Afonso de Queirós fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Afonso de Queirós kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baltazar Bezerra. That made the score 1-1 in the 55 minute of play. Afonso de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Bezerra having to interfere. Luiz Fabiano Meirelles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Baltazar Bezerra made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Afonso de Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Afonso de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso de Queirós in the 70th minute of play forced Poá Virtual Clube's goalkeeper Baltazar Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Emboscada SC were awarded a corner. Jean Meirelles went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Emboscada SC's Jean Meirelles to fire away a dangerous shot which Baltazar Bezerra despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luiz Fabiano Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Bezerra having to interfere. After 89 minutes, Zé Paulo Cavalcante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poá Virtual Clube and the Emboscada SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emboscada SC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
