When Conrado Macedo came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Gurgel SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Macedo couldn't finish the play. Gurgel SC's Adelino Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Jacindo in the 46th minute of play. The Gurgel SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carioca Pizzaria were winning 0-2.

Adelino Aguiar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 余渊延's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. José Augusto Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Carioca Pizzaria's Nando Magalhães couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gurgel SC. Wilson Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Gurgel SC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Conrado Macedo hit a great ball. Telmo Nóbrega charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Telmo Nóbrega the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Carioca Pizzaria fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty!
