Severino Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Porto in the 67th minute of the match. Piraiauara SC's Severino Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilson Valle in the 88th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Barcelos's zone, Ricardinho Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmir Alvarenga came out of the goal and Ricardinho Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd match minute, Barcelos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe de Barros to maneuver through the defense. After 94 minutes of play, Barcelos's Abel Pombal made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Mineiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Barcelos fully deserved thier win.
