Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardinho Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Tales Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfredo Txeru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Paulo de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, one of É10:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for É10. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Joao AD. Dário Vargas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving José Paulo de Medeiros. 1-0. If Bernardinho Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of É10 booed when Joao AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caco Pimenta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but José Paulo de Medeiros made a huge save. If Miguel Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 42 minutes, Alfredo Txeru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. É10's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Txeru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mateus de Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. With a little luck, É10's José Paulo de Medeiros got control of the ball when Eriberto das Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Txeru was the one to do the kick off. Filipe Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Ribeiro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Joao AD's Nilmar Lopez got a free kick in the 66th minute. Bernardinho Vander charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardinho Vander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to É10 getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Bernardinho Vander hit a great ball. After 71 played minutes Joao AD got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Paiva. 72 minutes into the game, Dário Vargas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joao AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave É10 the free kick. José Paulo de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto das Neves in the 95th minute of the match. Joao AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
