The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Michel Ribeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caco Félix in the 3rd minute. Daniel Bertoni struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Michel Ribeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Omega FC. Cajoeira's Michel Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Augusto Silva in the 15th minute of play. Ulysses Gaúcho hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Augusto Silva in the 19th minute of play forced Cajoeira's goalkeeper Michel Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Daniel Bertoni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michel Ribeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Luizão Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute of the match Zé Augusto Arce shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michel Ribeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Carlos Augusto Silva took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Michel Ribeiro to make any attempt to save it. In the 41st minute, Eliseu de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, Betinho Silva dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Michel Ribeiro, 3-0. Daniel Bertoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Bertoni was the one to do the kick off. Luizão Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Bernardinho de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luizão Abraão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cajoeira's Ulysses Gaúcho got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, one of Omega FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Omega FC. The referee gave Cajoeira a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marcus Cruz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Omega FC's Bernardinho de Souza. 3-1. The supporters of Omega FC booed when Cajoeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75thth minute of the game Carlos Augusto Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cajoeira's Michel Ribeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Augusto Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Ribeiro having to interfere. After 88 minutes, Daniel Bertoni made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cajoeira's Michel Ribeiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Luizão Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Bertoni's late challenge caught a Cajoeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Bertoni helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Omega FC had won after a very even match.
