Afonsinho Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute, Juan Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute of the match, Dito Amorim got a very nice opportunity to score, but Afonsinho Meirelles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Miramar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Aníbal Azevedo scored to the left of an out of position Afonsinho Meirelles, making the score, 1-0. Miramar's Afonsinho Meirelles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Miramar from getting a goal against them. Michel de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Ezequiel Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match, Dito Amorim got a very nice opportunity to score, but Afonsinho Meirelles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aníbal Azevedo in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonsinho Meirelles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the match, Miramar's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Azevedo came free, but Afonsinho Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorginho Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Maia in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Ezequiel Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Dito Amorim dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Afonsinho Meirelles, 2-0. Afonsinho Meirelles made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Dito Amorim sent off a good shot on target. After 47 minutes, Dito Amorim made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Miramar's Afonsinho Meirelles tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Maia made a kick off. Jorginho Fernandes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Fernandes in the 54th minute. Miramar's Afonsinho Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Azevedo in the 55th minute of play. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Aníbal Azevedo advanced and headed the ball into goal, 4-0 in the 57th minute. Fernando Maia hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Afonsinho Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Azevedo in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute Ezequiel Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Azevedo in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonsinho Meirelles saved Miramar from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Amorim in the 75th minute of play forced Miramar's goalkeeper Afonsinho Meirelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Miramar's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Azevedo came free, but Afonsinho Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Ezequiel Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saboeiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 85th minute Ezequiel Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonsinho Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Amorim in the 90th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Saboeiro got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Azevedo. In the 92nd minute Jeremias Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jorginho Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saboeiro's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
