After a rather tough play, Rolante's Erivaldo Pena got a free kick in the 13th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marquinhos Azevedo during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rolante booed when Sucessores FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Túlio Lopez in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iuri Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emerson de Souza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leonel Toscano. Sucessores FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 34th minute, Rolante's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Franklin Morais fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Sucessores FC's Zé Paulo Tavares got a free kick in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Evaristo Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rolante's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Schmidt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erivaldo Pena was the one to do the kick off.
