Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yan Mandrak started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Adamantina's José Augusto Moraes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armandinho Motta. Armandinho Motta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Rodolfo Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Tasso having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Yan Mandrak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nilson Tasso was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Nilson Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Augusto Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armandinho Motta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Fernandão Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute of the match Sandrinho Bertassi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nilson Tasso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Erivaldo Vieira struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Armandinho Motta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Adamantina. After a rather tough play, Canabravao FC's José Paulo Ribeiro got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Armandinho Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Augusto Moraes in the 43rd minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Adamantina fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Augusto Moraes to make the kick off. José Augusto Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Motta having to interfere. If Yan Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Teixeira let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 67th minute shot 1-2 at rihgt post. In the 70th match minute, Canabravao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandrinho Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Canabravao FC's Yan Mandrak dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. A collision led to Canabravao FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Yan Mandrak hit a great ball. Nilson Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Mandrak in the 82nd minute of the match. José Augusto Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Vieira in the 95th minute of play forced Canabravao FC's goalkeeper Armandinho Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armandinho Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Augusto Moraes in the 97th minute of play. The Canabravao FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Canabravao FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
