Adriano Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Vianna in the 4th minute of the match. Adriano Toledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Vianna's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Brilhante FC's Adriano Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Gonçalves in the 10th minute of play. Angelo Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Toledo having to interfere. Curundundum's Acácio Damião proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Curundundum from getting a goal against them. Orlando Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clóvis Dias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Acácio Damião read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Acácio Damião didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto de Alcântara went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando Vianna in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adriano Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute Orlando Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Angelo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Brilhante FC's zone, Angelo Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Toledo came out of the goal and Angelo Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Augusto de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Acácio Damião successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Angelo Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Toledo having to interfere. Clóvis Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Damião having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto de Alcântara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adriano Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Gonçalves in the 51st minute of play. Angelo Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Adriano Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adriano Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Vianna went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Angelo Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Adriano Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curundundum. If Orlando Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 68th minute Clóvis Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acácio Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto de Alcântara in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Acácio Damião saved Curundundum from getting behind. After having played for 87 minutes, Augusto de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brilhante FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto de Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Angelo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Orlando Viannas short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Adriano Toledo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Acácio Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto de Alcântara in the 94th minute of play. If Clóvis Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brilhante FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Curundundum had controlled the match.
