The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Francana FC got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Nunes. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, José Carlos Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot. βαϮαϮαs F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but José Carlos Galvão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Luís Prata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorginho Lira during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Francana FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jorginho Lira hit a great ball. André Luís Prata made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when José Carlos Galvão sent off a good shot on target. After 19 played minutes, Francana FC's Dedé Mesquita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fred Carioca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Francana FC reached it. Dráusio Lago in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of André Luís Prata, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 21st minute, βαϮαϮαs F.C.'s Donato Marinho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind André Luís Prata. André Luís Prata yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Marinho in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Luís Prata saved Francana FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Francana FC's André Luís Prata got control of the ball when Dráusio Lago tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Francana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Marinho came free, but André Luís Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diogo Leal made a kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Donato Marinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Francana FC's André Luís Prata was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 57 minutes into the game, βαϮαϮαs F.C.'s Donato Marinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Luís Prata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When Felippe Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Francana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felippe Almeida couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute, José Carlos Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. André Luís Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Marinho in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Francana FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Kaká Nunes hit a great ball. André Luís Prata didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donato Marinho went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Felippe Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Luís Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. André Luís Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Marinho in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Francana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Marinho came free, but André Luís Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Kaká Nunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a rather tough play, Francana FC's Kaká Nunes got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute Donato Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luís Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When José Carlos Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the βαϮαϮαs F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Carlos Galvão couldn't finish the play. If Dráusio Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
