Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilton Galvão to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Iratinga's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Valadares came free, but Luís Eduardo Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Iratinga booed when Torta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germano Quaresma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Celsinho Mendonça made a huge save. Iratinga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guga Valadares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When Dinei Santos fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iratinga's protests and gave Dinei Santos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th match minute, Iratinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Santos to maneuver through the defense. When Torta's Guga Valadares in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Iratinga's goalie prevented a goal. Edvaldo Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Torta walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
