Durvalino Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton Galvão in the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Délio Breckenfeld recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Durvalino Medeiros. Délio Breckenfeld showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Wilton Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilton Galvão in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Durvalino Medeiros saved Mutumparana from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Mutumparana's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton Galvão came free, but Durvalino Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mutumparana's Durvalino Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to save Mutumparana from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 54th minute, Germano Quaresma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Galvão in the 57th minute of play forced Mutumparana's goalkeeper Durvalino Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durvalino Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Quaresma in the 60th minute of play. Jano de Queirós blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Eduardo Reis having to make a save. In the 66th minute, Wilton Galvão made a precise shot to the right of Durvalino Medeiros. Mutumparana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Durvalino Medeiros came out of the goal and Wilton Galvão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durvalino Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton Galvão in the 92nd minute of play. Germano Quaresma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
