After a defensive mix-up in Picão FC's zone, Dênis Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Castro came out of the goal and Dênis Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th match minute, Picão FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Rosado to maneuver through the defense. Rogério Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beto Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. Dênis Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leandro Castro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michel Neiva in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, Dênis Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dênis Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Castro having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, Palmitinho SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dênis Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Dênis Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Leandro Castro made a huge save. In the 88th minute, Beto Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Picão FC's goalkeeper Leandro Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dênis Queirós. If Manoel Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
