Luís Fábio Tavares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 15 played minutes Trabson FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Soares. Erik Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Augusto de Godoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Uberabinha FC's Eliézer da Fonseca seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Eliézer da Fonseca the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Uberabinha FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Eliézer da Fonseca had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Uberabinha FC:s Luís Fábio Tavares showed great skill when he stopped Nico Teixeira:s penalty. Luís Fábio Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Eduardo Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Uberabinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Eduardo Tróia came free, but Luís Fábio Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romário Mazza in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Fábio Tavares saved Uberabinha FC from getting behind. In the 47th minute, Augusto de Godoy made a precise shot to the right of Luís Fábio Tavares. Uberabinha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fernando Paraibano to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Bernardinho Soares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luís Fábio Tavares, 0-3. 65 minutes into the match, Uberabinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romário Mazza came free, but Luís Fábio Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trabson FC's goalkeeper Tony Hoffmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Trabson FC booed when Uberabinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuca França didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Augusto de Godoy got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 77th minute, Luiz Fernando Paraibano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uberabinha FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. If Luiz Fernando Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trabson FC's Augusto de Godoy was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 86th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Romário Mazza's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Luís Fábio Tavares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Luiz Fernando Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Hoffmann having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Mazza in the 97th minute of play forced Uberabinha FC's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuca França kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match.
