The supporters of Dragões do Sertão FC booed when Ariry SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gilberto Chaime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46th play minutes Gilberto Chaime shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Roger Marques and just under the crossbar into goal. After the first half Dragões do Sertão FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilberto Chaime stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dragões do Sertão FC were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Ariry SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Oscar Eger took the corner. The corner ended in Oscar Eger almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ariry SC's Roger Marques did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Chaime in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Dragões do Sertão FC's Roger Marques threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gilberto Chaime, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Doni de Alcântara scored 0-3 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Marques, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Doni de Alcântara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roger Marques. That made the score 0-5 in the 82 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Chaime in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roger Marques saved Ariry SC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Neves in the 89th minute of play forced Ariry SC's goalkeeper Roger Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Gilberto Chaime put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Roger Marques. 95 minutes into the match, Ariry SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Chaime came free, but Roger Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
