But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Valladares couldn't finish the play. In the 9th minute, Lech Pilsudski made a precise shot to the right of Erivaldo do Valle. Jucururu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 11 minutes, José Paulo Madureira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manteninha and the Jucururu players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Paulo Madureira hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Marcinho Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Lech Pilsudski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erivaldo do Valle was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. A collision led to Jucururu getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Umberto Sarmento hit a great ball. Jucururu's Erivaldo do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo Palmeira in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Felipe Valladares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erivaldo do Valle was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Lech Pilsudski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo do Valle having to interfere. When Jonathan Pombal fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jucururu's protests and gave Jonathan Pombal a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathan Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. José Paulo Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo do Valle having to interfere. After the first half Manteninha were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Décio Arósio made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Manteninha's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Arósio came free, but Edinho Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Pombal hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Manteninha's Felipe Valladares suffered a sore thigh after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zézinho Moreno during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jucururu! Lech Pilsudski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Erivaldo do Valle when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Erivaldo do Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lech Pilsudski in the 70th minute. Marcinho Quadros hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Lech Pilsudski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Erivaldo do Valle made a huge save. In the 79th minute, Lech Pilsudski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erivaldo do Valle was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Lech Pilsudski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erivaldo do Valle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th match minute, Jucururu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Décio Arósio to maneuver through the defense. Lech Pilsudski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erivaldo do Valle having to interfere. A collision led to Manteninha getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Fernando Vergílio hit a great ball.
