Spectators: 7160 (Terracing: 5440, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 53) Cuiteji's Humberto Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tadeu Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Tadeu Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Clemente Romero put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sydney Albuquerque. Hílton Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hílton Rocha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Hílton Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Romero in the 15th minute of play forced Caiambe's goalkeeper Sydney Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th match minute, Caiambe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson Batista to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Cuiteji's zone, Tadeu Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Gustavo da Rocha came out of the goal and Tadeu Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sydney Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Cuiteji's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Tadeu Peres scored to the left of an out of position Luiz Gustavo da Rocha, making the score, 1-1. Juvenal Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Gustavo da Rocha having to interfere. Alex Bastos's late challenge caught a Caiambe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Bastos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd minute, Alex Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Cardoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sydney Albuquerque read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Humberto Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sydney Albuquerque was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Raí Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caiambe's Sydney Albuquerque proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Caiambe from getting a goal against them. 63 minutes into the game, Clemente Romero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Sydney Albuquerque was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sydney Albuquerque was a little too slow when Humberto Cardoso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-4. After a rather tough play, Cuiteji's Raí Furtado got a free kick in the 77th minute. A collision led to Caiambe getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Nelson Britto hit a great ball. Sydney Albuquerque was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sérgio Chaves. Clemente Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Sydney Albuquerque made a huge save. Juvenal Andrade took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Gustavo da Rocha. Luiz Gustavo da Rocha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Tadeu Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Luiz Gustavo da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Clemente Romero came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Cuiteji fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Romero couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cuiteji eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
