Patundova SC's Nuno Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Severo in the 13th minute of play. Waldir Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emerson Donatello in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Patundova SC's Sílvio Luiz Reis got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The long shot by Roger Gonçalves in the 23rd minute really tested Nuno Monteiro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 24 played minutes Patundova SC got a freekick which was hit by Vito Pires. Luverdense Esporte Clube's Roger Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reinaldo da Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reinaldo da Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute, Rafael Xavier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldir Tróia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Patundova SC's Nuno Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Patundova SC from getting a goal against them. 47 minutes into the match, Reinaldo da Cunha notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Patundova SC's Nuno Monteiro. Nuno Monteiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a rather tough play, Luverdense Esporte Clube's Cícero Berger got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Giuseppe do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Rafael Xavier dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Waldir Tróia, 1-2. A collision led to Luverdense Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Roger Gonçalves hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinaldo da Cunha in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Monteiro saved Patundova SC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Edgar Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luverdense Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Severo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute, Serginho da Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute, Rafael Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute Reinaldo da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldir Tróia was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Giuseppe do Vale capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roger Gonçalves charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roger Gonçalves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Roger Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
