Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 11thth minute of the game Décio Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caraguatehy EC's Vito Mello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vito Mello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Décio Seco in the 12th minute. The supporters of Guriu SC booed when Caraguatehy EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Caraguatehy EC's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Brito came free, but Vito Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vito Mello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rdth minute of the game Décio Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caraguatehy EC's Vito Mello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vito Mello acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Arthur Campidelis. Caraguatehy EC's players were relieved. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Décio Seco made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Edgard Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guriu SC's Arthur Campidelis got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Caraguatehy EC defense, Décio Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vito Mello. The Caraguatehy EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vito Mello should have stopped the shot. After 66th play minutes Décio Seco shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Vito Mello and just under the crossbar into goal. Jean Garcia made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Basílio Andrade sent off a good shot on target. When Guriu SC's Décio Seco in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Guriu SC fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Guriu SC's Décio Seco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luiz Fábio Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Caraguatehy EC's zone, Cipriano Peixoto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vito Mello came out of the goal and Cipriano Peixoto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Décio Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vito Mello was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Guriu SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
