But to his dismay, Oscar Valle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Tiago Oliveira fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Club Galátikus's protests and gave Tiago Oliveira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Itacuruba SS booed when Sport Club Galátikus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Antunes got free with Luís Fernando Paranaense in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Galátikus's Thiago Porto got a free kick in the 21st minute. Oscar Valle might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Perez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oscar Valle ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Oscar Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itacuruba SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Telmo Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Perez having to interfere. Anselmo Perez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Telmo Vasconcelos went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Anselmo Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Valle in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Sport Club Galátikus's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Vasconcelos came free, but Anselmo Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anselmo Perez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Telmo Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute Telmo Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Telmo Vasconcelos came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Itacuruba SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telmo Vasconcelos couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Anselmo Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 62nd play minutes Telmo Vasconcelos shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Anselmo Perez and just under the crossbar into goal. Oscar Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Anselmo Perez made a huge save. Eliézer Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Itacuruba SS's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Tande came free, but Luís Fernando Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Telmo Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Perez having to interfere. With a little luck, Sport Club Galátikus's Anselmo Perez got control of the ball when Oscar Valle tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Itacuruba SS's Telmo Vasconcelos, in the 84th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Itacuruba SS. In the 86th minute, Oscar Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 89 minutes of play Sport Club Galátikus's Tiago Oliveira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 89th match minute, Sport Club Galátikus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. Juan Antunes hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Itacuruba SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
