The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Mariusz Szotek took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Luizão Marquez to make any attempt to save it. If Martin Smedfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Andremio's zone, Mariusz Szotek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luizão Marquez came out of the goal and Mariusz Szotek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luizão Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariusz Szotek in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Remo's Roberto Neves got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariusz Szotek in the 23rd minute of play forced Andremio's goalkeeper Luizão Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Martin Smedfeldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luizão Marquez. Andremio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Smedfeldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Luizão Marquez was a little too slow when Mariusz Szotek got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 3-0. Luizão Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariusz Szotek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Andremio's goalkeeper Luizão Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Smedfeldt. Mariusz Szotek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Luizão Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Smedfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Andremio's goal looked a bit too open when Mariusz Szotek came free, but Luizão Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reinaldo de Almeida hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 49th minute, Mariusz Szotek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fred Montenegro to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Mariusz Szotek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luizão Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Luizão Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariusz Szotek, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Martin Smedfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 71 minutes into the match, Andremio's goal looked a bit too open when Mariusz Szotek came free, but Luizão Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luizão Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Smedfeldt in the 82nd minute of the match. Mariusz Szotek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Marquez having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Andremio's goal looked a bit too open when Mariusz Szotek came free, but Luizão Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Mariusz Szotek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Mariusz Szotek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luizão Marquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Luizão Marquez came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by Remo's Martin Smedfeldt. But to his dismay, Martin Smedfeldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Remo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
