Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sidney Furlan made the kick off and thus started the match. With a little luck, Paladinos FC's Aníbal Matos got control of the ball when Giovani Secco tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 4th minute, Sílvio Luís Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aníbal Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Furlan in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Cajueirinho SS's Giovani Secco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aníbal Matos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Giovani Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aníbal Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When João Pedro Vale came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Cajueirinho SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Pedro Vale couldn't finish the play. Júlio Guedes charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlio Guedes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Paladinos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Guedes to maneuver through the defense. Fausto Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Maurinho Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvaldo Botelho kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 26thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Paladinos FC's keeper Aníbal Matos was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Giovani Secco in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aníbal Matos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Aníbal Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edvaldo Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aníbal Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Furlan in the 40th minute of the match. Giovani Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Aníbal Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luiz Eduardo das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th match minute, Cajueirinho SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Furlan to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Fausto Lago made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Caio da Mata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paladinos FC and the Cajueirinho SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, Paladinos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio da Mata to maneuver through the defense. Paladinos FC's Júlio Guedes got his second yellow card of the match in the 53rd minute. The referee ordered Júlio Guedes off the ground. The supporters of Cajueirinho SS booed when Paladinos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurinho Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Saraiva in the 59th minute of play. Giovani Secco kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. If Sidney Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvaldo Botelho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aníbal Matos having to make a save. Aníbal Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Secco in the 69th minute of play. Sidney Furlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edvaldo Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Sílvio Luís Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the match, Paladinos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Furlan came free, but Aníbal Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidney Furlan took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aníbal Matos. Aníbal Matos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 85 minutes into the match, Giovani Secco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aníbal Matos. Paladinos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giovani Secco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Cajueirinho SS's Edvaldo Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute Cajueirinho SS were awarded a corner. Glauco Braga went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Glauco Braga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Paladinos FC's Aníbal Matos did a great save. A collision led to Paladinos FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Dadá da Silva hit a great ball.
