Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Hélder Luz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Oswaldo Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugênio Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. César Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. LeiscesterBR's César Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Cerezo in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Alagoano in the 29th minute of play forced Goytacaz Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Hélder Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Goytacaz Futebol Clube's Hélder Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Salgado in the 35th minute of play. Pedro Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Hélder Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugênio Alagoano might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder Luz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugênio Alagoano ran back to his position shaking his head. Hélder Luz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 42nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Cerezo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Goytacaz Futebol Clube booed when LeiscesterBR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Vânderson Breckenfeld notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Goytacaz Futebol Clube's Hélder Luz. Hélder Luz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oswaldo Ferraz took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hélder Luz. Hélder Luz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 68th minute, Bruno Cerezo made a precise shot to the right of César Leme. LeiscesterBR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. A sloppy throw-in by Anselmo Mello in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by LeiscesterBR's Aírton Montenegro. Hélder Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio Alagoano in the 77th minute of play. After 80 played minutes, LeiscesterBR's Romário Linhares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hélder Luz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LeiscesterBR reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Cerezo in the 81st minute of play forced LeiscesterBR's goalkeeper César Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Oswaldo Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. LeiscesterBR's supporters rose to their feet, but Oswaldo Ferraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Luz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Eugênio Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 minutes, Anselmo Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goytacaz Futebol Clube and the LeiscesterBR players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anselmo Neves hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugênio Alagoano in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hélder Luz saved Goytacaz Futebol Clube from getting behind. Hélder Luz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eugênio Alagoano went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Cristiano Cerezo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but César Leme made a huge save. 96 minutes into the match, LeiscesterBR's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Cerezo came free, but César Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bruno Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee ended the match the LeiscesterBR players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
