Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Waldir de Brito successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas do Valle during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Lambari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas do Valle to maneuver through the defense. After 12 played minutes Giannone Log got a freekick which was hit by Noel Travassos. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Jonas do Valle took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Waldir de Brito to make any attempt to save it. Waldir de Brito was a little too slow when Américo Zonta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, Lambari's goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Paes came free, but Nilson de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilson de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrézinho Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Toninho Faustino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lambari fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With his leg Waldir de Brito managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Lambari's Toninho Faustino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho Paes in the 32nd minute of play forced Lambari's goalkeeper Nilson de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Américo Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giannone Log's Waldir de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Zonta in the 42nd minute of play. In the 47th minute, Toninho Faustino made a precise shot to the right of Waldir de Brito. Giannone Log's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Toninho Faustino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Waldir de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Giannone Log fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! A collision led to Lambari getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Jonas do Valle hit a great ball. Giannone Log were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Lambari's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Otávio Rodrigues took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Otávio Rodrigues got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nilson de Senna quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 90th minute of the game. One of Lambari:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Giannone Log:s goal. 94 minutes into the game, Noel Travassos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Giannone Log's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lambari the free kick. The supporters of Lambari booed when Giannone Log was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrézinho Paes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nilson de Senna having to make a save.
