In the 19thth minute of the game Afonsinho Pitta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caribas SS's Fellipe Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Rodrigada's Olavo Severo got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Ricardinho de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vágner Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vágner Félix couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Pitta in the 36th minute of play forced Caribas SS's goalkeeper Fellipe Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Alex Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonsinho Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alex Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 played minutes, Rodrigada's Armin Gnann shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fellipe Vale came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rodrigada reached it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonsinho Pitta made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Caribas SS's Gonçalo Almeida got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Rodrigada's Afonsinho Pitta couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Caribas SS. Ademir Fontes charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ademir Fontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Afonsinho Pittas short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Fellipe Vale to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Udalaitz Herbias scored 0-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fellipe Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Afonsinho Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Fellipe Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute Vágner Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardinho de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caribas SS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Afonsinho Pitta was slow to take the kick. During this time Rodrigada's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Rubinho Terra almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Caribas SS's Fellipe Vale did a great save. In the 83rd minute, Luizinho Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deivid Santana hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Fellipe Vale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonsinho Pitta went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After having played for 92 minutes, Afonsinho Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rodrigada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonsinho Pitta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Dida Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
