José Carlos Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lúcio Corrêa hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Laércio Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IRREALMADRI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laércio Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomé Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Toninho Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaboticaba SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toninho Passos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Daniel Loureiro fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jaboticaba SS's protests and gave Daniel Loureiro a yellow card for diving instead. Tomé Tróia struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. José Carlos Mendonça made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 40th minute, Toninho Passos made a precise shot to the right of Flavinho Soares. IRREALMADRI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Laércio Queirós's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, José Carlos Mendonça skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 45th minute, Serafim Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laércio Queirós made a kick off. IRREALMADRI's Flavinho Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save IRREALMADRI from getting a goal against them. When Severino Quintal came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the IRREALMADRI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Quintal couldn't finish the play. Laércio Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. José Carlos Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Queirós in the 61st minute of play forced Jaboticaba SS's goalkeeper José Carlos Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Laércio Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Carlos Mendonça. Jaboticaba SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Laércio Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. IRREALMADRI's supporters rose to their feet, but Laércio Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Carlos Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Carlos Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Quintal in the 73rd minute of play. José Carlos Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Queirós in the 74th minute of the match. Serafim Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The supporters of IRREALMADRI booed when Jaboticaba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Laércio Queirós's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Carlos Mendonça was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Jaboticaba SS's Daniel Loureiro got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Daniel Loureiro off the ground. A collision led to Jaboticaba SS getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Daniel Loureiro hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Laércio Queirós made a precise shot to the right of José Carlos Mendonça. Jaboticaba SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. If Laércio Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Carlos Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomé Tróia in the 86th minute of the match. Laércio Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. IRREALMADRI's Tomé Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. IRREALMADRI walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
