Spectators: 7223 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Cascata FC's Raimundo Hames started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Itajui SS's Elano Borges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Itajui SS from getting a goal against them. Elano Borges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raimundo Hames's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, Itajui SS's Osvaldo Velasco got a free kick in the 5th minute. Cascata FC's Pedro Luiz Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raimundo Hames in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elano Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elano Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Hames in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute of the match, Raimundo Hames tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elano Borges saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Elano Borges was a little too slow when Fred Esteves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Raimundo Hames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Hames did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Elano Borges 18 minutes into the match. Délio Galvão struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Elano Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cascata FC. Valdir dos Santos's late challenge caught a Itajui SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdir dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Itajui SS booed when Cascata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elano Borges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raimundo Hames's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Itajui SS's Elano Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz Saldanha in the 33rd minute of play. In the 38th minute, Raimundo Hames ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elano Borges was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Hames in the 43rd minute of play forced Itajui SS's goalkeeper Elano Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Cascata FC's Raimundo Hames sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elano Borges narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 48 minutes of play, Itajui SS's Hugo Amorim made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wiley Hess was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

60 minutes into the match, Itajui SS's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Hames came free, but Elano Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Raimundo Hames cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Elano Borges was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raimundo Hames in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elano Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Itajui SS's Perivaldo Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Itajui SS getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Hugo Amorim hit a great ball. In the 77thth minute of the game Raimundo Hames who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itajui SS's Elano Borges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Cascata FC's Pedro Luiz Saldanha in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itajui SS's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Galvão in the 80th minute of play forced Itajui SS's goalkeeper Elano Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Hames might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elano Borges. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Hames ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Itajui SS getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Osvaldo Velasco hit a great ball. Délio Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elano Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Esteves in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Hames in the 90th minute of play forced Itajui SS's goalkeeper Elano Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raimundo Hames blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elano Borges having to make a save. Zachary Wojtkiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Elano Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elano Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Saldanha in the 97th minute of the match.
