Tomás Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Silva having to interfere. Ronaldinho Mattos charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldinho Mattos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, Raimundo Reis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vasco da Gama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Vasco da Gama getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Abelardo Vaz hit a great ball. Inácio Lucas in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Enrique Silva, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Enrique Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Victor Pirani hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Inácio Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Vasco da Gama's Abelardo Vaz got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute of the match Alvara FC got a corner. Vasco da Gama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Davi Mangueira ran over to the corner to take the kick. Enrique Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inácio Lucas's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. After a rather tough play, Vasco da Gama's Victor Pirani got a free kick in the 68th minute. A hard shot by Marcelinho Varela from long distance, 72 minutes into the match, got Dominik Mierzejewski's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tomás Ramalho struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Enrique Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvara FC. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Alvara FC had played much better football throughout.
