Spectators: 7275 (Terracing: 5458, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mathias dos Santos made the kick off which started today's match. 12 minutes into the game, Laranja Mecânica F.C's Tibúrcio Moreno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Luiz Loureiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 23rd match minute, Santo Antonio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Linares to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Santo Antonio's Marcelinho Ferraz got a free kick in the 25th minute. A hard shot by Dedé Sá from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got André Luiz Loureiro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 27th minute, Laranja Mecânica F.C's Tibúrcio Moreno ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind André Luiz Loureiro. André Luiz Loureiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Laranja Mecânica F.C's Juarês Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias dos Santos in the 31st minute of play. Tibúrcio Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Laranja Mecânica F.C's Juan Eduardo Veloso managed to work through Santo Antonio's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Juan Eduardo Veloso dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. André Luiz Loureiro made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Juan Eduardo Veloso sent off a good shot on target. Mathias dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The long shot by Lenílson de Lara in the 41st minute really tested André Luiz Loureiro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 43rd play minutes Narciso Cabral shot 6-0, a short shot which went by André Luiz Loureiro and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Tiaguinho Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santo Antonio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiaguinho Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

In the 51st minute, Juan Eduardo Veloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ademir Félix's late challenge caught a Laranja Mecânica F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademir Félix helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Ademir Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Eduardo Veloso in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Luiz Loureiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Dracena in the 58th minute of play forced Santo Antonio's goalkeeper André Luiz Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tibúrcio Moreno scored 7-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of André Luiz Loureiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Dracena in the 67th minute of play forced Santo Antonio's goalkeeper André Luiz Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica F.C's goalkeeper Juarês Vergílio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiaguinho Linares. After a rather tough play, Laranja Mecânica F.C's Velasco Sotelo got a free kick in the 71st minute. Tiaguinho Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juarês Vergílio came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Santo Antonio's Tiaguinho Linares. But to his dismay, Tiaguinho Linares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. André Luiz Loureiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tibúrcio Moreno went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. Narciso Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Eduardo Veloso in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Luiz Loureiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibúrcio Moreno in the 85th minute of play forced Santo Antonio's goalkeeper André Luiz Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santo Antonio's Mathias dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Luiz Loureiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Eduardo Veloso's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Laranja Mecânica F.C had played much better football throughout.
