In the 4th match minute, Urandi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Lira to maneuver through the defense. Moisés Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaká da Silveira in the 8th minute of the match. Frederico Loyola's late challenge caught a Urandi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederico Loyola helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gremio Esportivo Brasil's Frederico Loyola got a free kick in the 9th minute. Dito Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kaká da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moisés Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sydney Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29thth minute of the game Dito Peixoto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gremio Esportivo Brasil's Moisés Moreno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Kaká da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urandi's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaká da Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Moreno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dito Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Gremio Esportivo Brasil booed when Urandi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Kaká da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute Dito Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Dionísio in the 60th minute of play. Urandi's Luís Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Dionísio in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Gremio Esportivo Brasil booed when Urandi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gugu Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moisés Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Peixoto in the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Dito Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Urandi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dito Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Urandi's Adelino da Mata shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 87th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Moisés Moreno but with some difficulty. Luís Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Guimarães in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Matías Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dráuzio Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gremio Esportivo Brasil fans cheered their team off the field, for while Urandi had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
