Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aggelos Ntaliardos got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Ernani Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sagatiba EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernani Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anderson Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute, Ernani Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sydney Galvão hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Aggelos Ntaliardos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anderson Toscano came out and tried to block the shot, but Aggelos Ntaliardos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. If Aggelos Ntaliardos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Aggelos Ntaliardos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Anderson Toscano, passed just outside the right post. Nildo de Queirozs short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Anderson Toscano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 33 played minutes Cateto SC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo do Vale. Sydney Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cateto SC's Anderson Toscano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Cateto SC from getting a goal against them. After 40 played minutes Cateto SC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fabiano Netto. Anderson Toscano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nildo de Queiroz in the 43rd minute. After 46 played minutes Aggelos Ntaliardos rounded Cateto SC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sydney Galvão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aggelos Ntaliardos in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anderson Toscano saved Cateto SC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Cateto SC defense, Aggelos Ntaliardos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anderson Toscano. The Cateto SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anderson Toscano should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aggelos Ntaliardos in the 60th minute of play forced Cateto SC's goalkeeper Anderson Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rdth minute of the game Aggelos Ntaliardos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cateto SC's Anderson Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aggelos Ntaliardos in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anderson Toscano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juvenal Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sagatiba EC booed when Cateto SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aggelos Ntaliardos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Sagatiba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Galvão came free, but Raimundo Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Nildo de Queiroz put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Anderson Toscano. After a rather tough play, Cateto SC's Hugo do Vale got a free kick in the 89th minute. Cateto SC's Anderson Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nildo de Queiroz in the 91st minute of play. Sagatiba EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
