Sagatiba EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Márcio Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amazonas FC's Matías Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aggelos Ntaliardos in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 minutes of play, Amazonas FC's Isaltino Paulista made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raimundo Leite was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elias Paulista to strike the kick off in the second half. Sagatiba EC's Ernani Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aggelos Ntaliardos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías Alcântara having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Sagatiba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Paulista came free, but Raimundo Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matías Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aggelos Ntaliardos, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. A collision led to Sagatiba EC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Luizinho Loyola hit a great ball. In the 96th match minute, Amazonas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. Juvenal Alagoano came free in the 98th minute and tried to tip the ball over Matías Alcântara, but to the joy of Amazonas FC's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. When the final whistle sounded Sagatiba EC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Amazonas FC.
