João Vítor Pereira hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Tibaia EC's Alan Paiva couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Villplate. Willian Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner Nunes in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Tibaia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Freitas to maneuver through the defense. Villplate's Olívio Rezende shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Charles Pitta but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Nunes in the 28th minute of play forced Villplate's goalkeeper Willian Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Wágner Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wágner Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Willian Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Tibaia EC's Luiz Guilherme Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Paulo dos Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. Willian Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Nunes in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 minutes, José Romero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tibaia EC and the Villplate players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Romero hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Villplate's goalkeeper Willian Peixoto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luiz Guilherme Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Peixoto having to interfere. The supporters of Tibaia EC booed when Villplate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball.
