The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Caire AD got a freekick which was hit by Adrianinho Paraense. After a rather tough play, Caire AD's Luizinho Loyola got a free kick in the 7th minute. João Paulo Vides charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Paulo Vides the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Caire AD getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. João Paulo Vides hit a great ball. In the 11th minute João Paulo Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belchior Mandrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Juvenal Dracena recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leopoldo Arantes. Juvenal Dracena showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Luizinho Loyola fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caire AD's protests and gave Luizinho Loyola a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Caire AD getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Luizinho Loyola hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the game, Juvenal Dracena recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leopoldo Arantes. Juvenal Dracena showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. If Beto Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beto Almeida got free with Leopoldo Arantes in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Força Alagoana's Vágner Freire got a free kick in the 27th minute. Beto Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Leopoldo Arantes made a huge save. Belchior Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrianinho Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Juvenal Dracena took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Arantes. Leopoldo Arantes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caire AD's goalkeeper Leopoldo Arantes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juvenal Dracena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Beto Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopoldo Arantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. João Paulo Vides got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 65th match minute, Caire AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Vides to maneuver through the defense. Robinho Berger charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robinho Berger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Robinho Berger hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Luizinho Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belchior Mandrak having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Caire AD's Luizinho Loyola sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Belchior Mandrak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vágner Freire hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Belchior Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrianinho Paraense in the 84th minute of play. After some careless play in the Força Alagoana defense, Adrianinho Paraense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Belchior Mandrak. The Força Alagoana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Belchior Mandrak should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Força Alagoana had won after a very even match.
